Improve Employee Skills and Lives
We are all aware of the hundreds and thousands of low paid employees stuck in jobs as they lack necessary technical skills. At the same time, many jobs are migrating or disappearing. If some of these employees could get trained in the skills they need, they could move up and get higher wages. We are exploring how we can help in this situation?
In a country like India, some of the large telecom companies who had low skilled employees, have developed programs to retrain such employees for higher skill levels, especially in the IT. We believe similar training can be offered to interested American employees if their employers are interested and willing to support such an effort. We have identified Indian private firms who are currently involved in such skill upgrade work.
They are interested to work with American companies both in the service sector or telecom sector, by providing customized training to specific job requirements. The cost of such training will be comparatively very attractive( compared with such training in the US ) , even if travel, accommodation and other expenses are included. The incentive for the employees will be the opportunity for better job promotion, higher pay and an opportunity to travel abroad. For the firms, it will produce many more skilled employees with higher productivity and fewer needs to hire new employees who probably will cost more. We believe that this is worth trying and we can assist companies which are interested. We can help to design training packages as each company requires and make all the necessary arrangements to successfully implement them.
